Brandon Almodovar

Brandon Almodovar

The Owner & Director of Player Development

Brandon Almodovar is the founder and head trainer of Champions Forge Academy, one of Central Florida’s fastest-growing player-development programs for baseball and softball athletes. With experience spanning collegiate play, professional baseball, and high-level coaching, Brandon has built a reputation for developing athletes with precision, intent, and a modern approach to the game.
Brandon played three years of college baseball, where he established himself as a versatile infielder and student of the game. After college, he signed and played independent professional baseball, gaining the real-world, pro-level insights that now shape his infield and hitting instruction.
Transitioning into coaching, Brandon served as the Infield Coach at Seminole State College (D1 JUCO) and later became the Softball Recruiting Coordinator at FMU, evaluating top talent and helping build competitive collegiate rosters. His coaching tree continues to grow, with over 25 softball athletes and over 15 baseball players moving on to play at the college level under his guidance.
Brandon’s training is rooted in biomechanics, movement patterns, and efficient skill development. He is certified in Strength & Conditioning through OTA, and also holds advanced softball certifications, including EID Infielding under Morgan Stuart, one of the most respected names in the sport. Brandon has learned from elite minds in baseball and softball, including former MLB coach Andy Barkett, shaping his approach into a balanced blend of modern analytics and old-school competitiveness.
Today, Brandon leads Champions Forge Academy — powered by HitTrax technology, a 4,000 sq. ft. training facility, and multiple competitive travel teams focused on true long-term development. His mission is simple:
